Dragon-Blooded: What Fire Has Wrought is a core expansion for the Exalted tabletop roleplaying game. Exalted 3rd Edition is set in a mythic world where spirits walk openly among men, warring demigods topple kingdoms, and the restless dead roam on moonless nights. Heroes granted power by the mightiest gods war and intrigue against one another for the fate of Creation. These are the Exalted!

Hey Dragon-backers,
Well, I spent yesterday trying to sneak in a month end updates before our American friends take some Thanksgiving time off, but Kickstarter wasn't letting me upload images. And where would I be if I couldn't insert my avatar here?
I imagine a lot of afternoon naps.
Anyway, now that we have that important business taken care of, I hope everyone keeps safe and manages through as best they can.
You know the drill at this point - we've got two final rewards that are working their way through the development process, so no major updates this month. Our final novella is in redlines, so the author is making revisions based on feedback from the developers and editors. And the Heirs to the Shogunate book, which we've shared in the past with backers, is in the middle of the Art Direction stage, where Onyx Path's team is working with the artists to nail down all of the art for the book. I guess it's like redlines for art - sketches come in and refinements are made before anything is finalized and goes into the layout.

Hey there, Dragon-backers!
It's time for our month end update! I held off as long as possible to see if any news would sneak in at the last moment, but alas, there are no big surprises here. Our final two Stretch Goals are still in progress. I loved the preview of Heirs of the Shogunate from back in April, and I'm just as eager as ever to see the book completed. But if were easy, everyone would do it, right?

Obviously, any schedule that Onyx Path had at the beginning of the year as been massively altered, pushed back and warped by pandemics and resulting shutdowns, new social distancing requirements at workplaces, infrastructure adaptations as the world changed, and everyone dealing with their own personal challenges from suddenly working from home, or not working at all, or adjusting to sharing home offices, or homeschooling, or keeping tabs on wildfires, or...
Well, it goes on, doesn't it. Which is preamble to the main point: we're not quite at the finish line for these last goals, with some edges to sand down and some artwork to be completed. We'll get there!

As a Hero, a Scion becomes a figure of myth and story, an exemplar of some virtue of their chosen society or the culture they’re born into. Even before their Visitation, the children of the Gods are a breed apart. But some want more than this lesser form of immortality, forever in the shadow of their parents. The golden ichor within the Scion’s heart sears and cooks them, ever burning away any human frailties of the Scion and driving them toward more audacious Deeds. They seek to become truly transformational figures, leaving The World forever different in their wake. At the fifth dot of Legend, it all reaches a tipping point, where the Scion is formed more of divine ichor than mortal flesh —more immortal than mortal, a true Demigod. They have declared to The World that they will not be pawns of Fate, but players in their own right. They will succeed in becoming a God, or they will die with their failure.
Everything up to this point was your prologue. Now it’s time to live your myth.
Scion: Demigod continues the path set down by Scion: Origin and Scion: Hero, expanding Scion Second Edition’s power level and charting the next level of power tiers for the Scions of the Gods. Players will take their characters through a tightly designed yet flexible story arc that ends in apotheosis or death – either way, the character will no longer be mortal after this book. Your characters don’t have to follow every Milestone with their Deeds — but they cannot run from their destiny once they’ve chosen to embrace it.
